Walking On Sunshine

The surprised family
Thinking that we were going to "Walking on Sunshine" at Topsail Island, we were surprised to be in Duck for a great week in an outstanding house with large rooms, a pool table and a swimming pool. Only one problem: the stairs to the pool area do not have handrails..one of us fell but is OK.

Family Vacation
Our family enjoyed our week at the Walking on Sunshine property. The description was accurate and the property well maintained. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and it was wonderful to have a table large enough for all of us. The property manager provided excellent communication throughout the process of booking and checking in and out of the house. The traffic does back up on the road to Duck at various times during the day so bikes were helpful in going to town. It is central to many activities. We were close to the sound for crabbing, kayaking and paddle boarding and the beach was an easy walk from the property.

A great week!! 5 stars all around
One of the best rentals we have stayed in! House was clean, location from the beach was an easy walk, ocean was in view from the upper balcony. The beds were comfortable, and the house was equipped with all basic kitchen needs. Hot tub and pool were also perfect for us. We loved all of the personal touches in the house, the helpful guides for operation of TVs and appliances, and the welcome basket with "forgotten" items in case of a need. Would definitely rent Walking on Sunshine again! Thanks for a great week!!

Great place for a family vacation
The house was perfect for our family vacation. There was plenty of room for everyone. It was just a short walk from the house to the beach. It was nice having the option to relax at the beach or by the pool. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub too.

I would recommend this place. We will definitely be back.

Great location
Had a great time in Duck and the house had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the location of the house because it was close enough to walk to the beach. The size of the house was perfect for our family with the four king masters. Definitely recommend this house.

Perfect Family Vacation Home!
Love, love, love this home! Have stayed here several times and keep coming back because of the great location in a nice residential area and you can view both the sunset and sunrise easily. While so many homes have multiple beds crammed into rooms with many single and bunks, this home accommodated our adult children and their young children perfectly with so many large bedrooms with king beds. Special touches from the owner such as the basket of items containing items we may have forgotten, the coffee bar and the many games and puzzles along with the game room provided us with lots of fun and laughs. The kitchen was well equipped including a crock pot. Even the neighbors were friendly and made us feel at home!

Two Thumbs UP!
This is our forth stay at Walking on Sunshine and the property continues to get better with updates improvements. The owners have gone out of their way to ensure guests have the best experience. They even added a basket of travel size personal essentials in case you forgot something. The house was very clean. I have had dialogue with the owner on many occasions of issues, concerns and recommendations. We did not get to stay last year but we noted very quickly the work done on the steps and the addition of a coffee bar. The new grill was huge and was a split unit with grill on one side and a flat top on the other. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and very enjoyable. All appliances were in great working order. We look forward to our next stay.

September obx vs late June
Great time in Sept. After 30 some years broke tradition and no summer weeks. Great house, close enough to beach, courteous interactive with Coast people. And best of allowed week rental from midweek to midweek. End of traffic problems.

Summer 2022
Once again "Walking on Sunshine" stood up to it name! Our family have a wonderful stay. The home was clean, and well appointed. The walk to the beach was easy. the views from the decks were wonderful. we can't wait to return next year.
