Wonderful week
The house was in a great location and everything was as described in the listing. The house has obviously been recently updated. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware, and utensils. Most importantly everything was very clean.

Wonderful Week
Fantastic house and a wonderful location. Two wishlist items, iron/ironing board, and WiFi booster, the signal was very weak. Otherwise, I have zero complaints, I am looking forward to next year already.

Best family vacation very much needed!
It was perfect very clean and comfortable. Close to the ocean. My grandson had the time of his life. Was equipped with everything we needed. Thank you for allowing us to have a wonderful experience!

Super creat place to stay!!
Very clean, a minute to The Bleach, So many dishes, pots, pans, Tupperware. Couldn’t have booked a better place to stay. 5 stars!!!

Great 4 Day Trip to OBX
We stayed in Summersalt for a long, 4-day weekend in July. The house was the perfect size for the 7 of us. It was clean, with a nice kitchen and family room area. We especially liked the nice large shaded porch and the hot tub. The house included 3 nice beach bikes and lots of beach chairs, boogie boards and beach umbrellas. It is a very short walk to the beach and convenient to grocery stores and restaurants.

Great Vacation
From the photos you could tell that there had been some updates to this property but it's always tough to know for sure how nice a place is until you're there. We were very happy with the property, the owners made some nice updates while keeping the charm on an OBX cottage. The layout is great, 1 king bed on one side connected by a jack and jill bathroom to a twin room then a queen size bedroom on the other side connected by another jack and jill bathroom to another twin bedroom. My husband and I stayed in the King size bedroom and the mattress was very comfortable. My 2 children stayed in the twin rooms (1 in a pack and play and 1 in a bed) and we were pleasantly surprised that the rooms had blinds and curtains. This is always nice when the kids go to sleep before the sun goes down so the rooms can actually get dark. The patio and patio swing were wonderful as well as the hot tub. The hot tub was actually hot when we got there as well so we got to use it the first night instead of having to wait for it to heat up. We ate at the house most of the week and found it equipped to handle cooking basic meals. The location of the house is great, the street is very private so the beach is also less crowded than other areas. It was an easy walk across the street to the beach for us, including my 4 year old and even my 16 month old could walk it. We did go up to Duck a couple of times and it was only a 10 minute drive. We used the beach cart and boogie boards in the storage unit which was nice to not have to bring or rent those items. The enclosed outside shower was wonderful to rinse off the sand before going into the house. All and all we were very happy with this house and would definitely stay here again.

Great Home Away From Home!

Great place to stay for small family!
Great place for a small family! Newly renovated and comfortable place to stay! I liked the layout as all the living area was in the middle and the bedrooms were off to the side. Cozy and roomy for our stay. Everything we needed and super quick walk to the beach. The best is the house feels secluded and not too close to the other houses. Definitely recommend. :)
