This magnificent seven (7) bedroom, semi-ocean-front home is located in the quiet town of Southern Shores. You can get off the road and on the beach without the traffic. There is so much within walking distance of this home; Outer Banks' top restaurants, shops and salons and the beach! Southern Paws is a member of the SSCA Tennis Club. Guests have use of community beach access, community park and playground, basketball court, soccer field, and shaded picnic area. The private Southern Shores Marina is located on S. Dogwood Trail and provides a boat launch into Guinguite Creek, which connects to the Currituck and Albemarle Sounds. *Please note that vehicles must display a SCCA guest parking pass on the dashboard in all community parking areas
The ground level includes an oversized game room area w/full-size pool table, foosball, one full size bathroom, half bath and ping pong table. Also found on this level of the home there is a gorgeous home theater room that rivals any local movie theater. A full-size refrigerator, microwave, and wet bar makes grabbing a snack during the movie easy. Located on this level of the home is one (1) bedroom w/bunk set and Queen bed w/flat screen. Everyone will enjoy the convenience of the elevator that services all three levels of the home.
The mid-level of Southern Paws has four (4) Master bedrooms (all with private baths) and an extra living area for relaxing or reading away from the group. There are three (3) Masters w/Kings and one (1) Master w/ Pyramid bunk set and (2) twins.
The top level of this home stuns with a newly remodeled, modern, well-equipped kitchen that flows into an open dining and living space designed for entertaining. The new quartz countertops and beautiful cabinets are highlighted by the sleek lacquered butcher block island that adds additional seating for four. Stainless appliances including two dishwashers make meal prep and cleanup a breeze. If you plan on enjoying any meals inside the home, the 10-seat round dining table round will be a hit. The top-level features plenty of decks to enjoy the gorgeous ocean views while relaxing. Also found on the top level are (2) masters w/Kings, each with spacious private baths. There is also a half bath off of the living room.

Beauty

Wonderful Family Trip!
Southern Paws was the perfect house for our large family group. The walk to the beach wasn't too far and the beach on our side of the pier was much less crowded. The house accommodated our large group of 5 families and allowed for a great week of celebration of our dad's 80th as well as some other celebrations! We loved walking next door for coffee, ice cream & the escape room & even though it's not on the ocean, we could see the ocean from the upper levels of the house which just added to our enjoyment of the space! June OBX Stay
Very large, spacious, clean home. We appreciated the amount of king sized beds that allowed all adults to have one as well as multiple beds for kids. The pool and hot tub area were very nice, we liked that it had locks on all the gates since we brought young children. Great location, loved being able to walk to the beach and ice cream. Great family vacation!
We had a great time at Southern Paws. my brothers and their families and my mother and I shared the house. From the moment we checked in, til we we checked out we were extremely satisfied with the rental The location was perfect for us, it was close to the beach for morning sunrises and close to Corolla for the wild horses tour. We have no complaints about the house, it was clean and exactly like the pictures. We enjoyed the theater room and game room every day, It was a great family vacation! Awesome house and great time
There was 14 of us and plenty of space for everyone. Even the kids enjoyed having their "own" room and space. House was very nice and clean. We vacuumed and swept daily also to help out with the sand, which is unavoidable. Overall, everyone had a great time and pretty much spent most of the days at the beach, which is just a short walk. Great family vacation
A great house for a large family. There are thirteen of us and there was plenty of room for everyone. A very convenient location as there is a pizza shop, an ice cream shop and a restaurant right behind it. The pool was a blessing when it got too hot at the beach and the game room came in handy when it was too hot to sit by the pool. Southern Paws
Our experience was amazing. The location was in a perfect spot, easy beach access and a great location for short trip for food. Although there were some issues with some beds not made, extra sand on the floors and dishes that were put away not clean it wasn’t anything to take away from our time there. The rental associate I was in contact with was extremely helpful and got back to me almost immediately. The only issue we really had was with the pool. The way the yard is set up and a day of heavy rain made it unable to swim in. The pool company was there three days out of our 7 day stay and they were very helpful to get it back up and running. The yard configuration made it almost impossible for it to not run right into the pool. Extended Family Vacation
We had a great family vacation experience with 10 adults and 3 children. The house was very spacious, with ample bedrooms AND bathrooms! The pool was great and location to the beach was a manageable walk. The house had many amenities (pool, pool table, ping pong etc) that everyone enjoyed. Had some minor issues with no iron/broken door handle that were corrected in very acceptable timing. The house could use some minor updating (i.e paint in worn areas) and you have to realize that you are on a relatively high traffic road particularly on the weekends.
