great house - had everything we needed
Porch Song was a wonderful home. We enjoyed the space and it had everything we needed. 5 minute walk to beach - maybe a little more. i would recommend this house. The only thing that really bugged us at first, was that there was no way to get from second floor deck to the third floor deck from the outside of the house. by the end of the week we got used to it!

Perfect location for what we were looking for
The house was great for 3 families and kids! The house was a little dirty though. We did have to call and let them know that after being there for a few hours our kids feet were black. Once we reached out they did send 2 cleaners to swiffer the floors, but honestly it didn’t do much. The house could use a deep clean. Our refrigerator didn’t produce ice or water, they also sent someone out for that. There were a few drawer handles loose too. House could definitely use a deep clean and some updating but it was located perfectly to the beach

Cozy Family Fune
Overall a great experience!
The home was cozy and well equipped for our family of 6. With two days of un-beach-able rain, the house had many board games and books to choose from. There was a stash of various baby items, though I’m not sure if they were left from previous tenants or from the company, that were in subpar shape (eg. two umbrella strollers and neither of them had functional straps).

My only complaint was that the floors almost immediately turned my socks black, to the point that I didn’t feel comfortable letting my daughter (11m) crawl and play on the floor. I emailed the realty company but never heard back, probably because I added that I didn’t necessarily want someone to come out and clean but that I wanted them to be aware.

When our lock wasn’t working, the owner called me herself and offered her personal cell number to text if it happened again. Excellent service when it mattered the most!

Porch song stay
Generally had a nice week. Facility is ideally located for our purposes. Next door to another house that we also rent so ideal for 5 families. Location off main streets, back yard pool and proximity to ocean make it perfect for children. Had to deal with faulty smoke detectors and water pooling up at garage entrance ( lots of rain from nearby hurricane) but generally had a good stay. Detectors were repaired. A little drainage channeling would help with the pooling water. Facility was clean. We still look forward to another years stay at this location.

Porch Song rental in Kitty Hawk, NC
I was very satisfied with this rental. Our party of 10 included three generations in ages from the 80’s to 10 years old. There were plenty of books, puzzles and games to occupy our time away from the beach. The pool was enjoyed by all. We liked having the outdoor gas grill. Our only two complaints were no working can openers, and one chair in screened in porch was in need of a bolt to secure it. There was one board lifted on the pool deck. We didn’t report these small inconveniences since we were able to work around them and we still had a great time. We chose early check in which I thought was excessive. Otherwise a good time was had by all.

Great house for a family of ten very close to the beach and plenty of things to do inside home owner needs to buy roku for 2 bedroom tv s.. Overall, this house had plenty of room.Great location and the
Pool was a bonus!

Good price
Not the best place I've stayed but comfortable and good amenities. To have 5 bedrooms, a private pool and a hot tub, the price was good. We had a couple of issues that were resolved quickly for Memorial Day weekend, and extended the stay an extra day. A couple of reviewers noted that there wasn't a gas grill so I brough charcoal, but there is a gas grill there now. Also renters should be aware that the bunk bedroom (1 of 4 bedrooms on the middle level) does not have access to a full bathroom without going into another bedroom's private bathroom. I was aware of this before I got there because another reviewer mentioned it. It worked out fine because I planned for it, but it could be an issue for some. I do think the house could use a visit from the owner to get some things into shape.

Family vacatio
The place was perfect for our family get away. We loved that the kids could stay on one level and our parents could stay on the upper level. The hot tub was such a wonderful bonus as our weather did not permit us to use the pool.
